ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: Human and Policy Dimensions is an innovative, interdisciplinary and international research journal addressing the human and policy dimensions of hazards.The journal addresses the full range of hazardous events from extreme geological, hydrological atmospheric and biological events such as earthquakes, floods, storms and epidemics to technological failures and malfunctions such as industrial explosions, fires and toxic material releases. Environmental Hazards: Human and Policy Dimensions is the source of the new ideas in hazards and risk research.With a genuinely international perspective, this journal highlights issues of human exposure, vulnerability, awareness, response and risk. The role of hazards in affecting development, and issues of efficiency, social justice and sustainability are also explored in the journal.Well known conventional hazards receive extensive coverage but submissions about new forms of hazard, emerging risk management institutions and restructuring of ideas about hazards – including their role in human affairs – are particularly welcome.Reinvigorating the debate about how we define, understand and manage hazards, the journal is interdisciplinary in scope and open to contributions by specialists from a wide range of fields who are interested in the effects of hazards events on people, property and societies.

Environmental Impact Assessment Review is a refereed, interdisciplinary journal serving a global audience of practitioners, policy-makers and academics. This audience assesses the environmental impact of policy, projects, processes and products and makes decisions based upon these assessments.Innovative EIA theory and practice - that is the focus of this journal. Papers should present innovation, they should be topical and of course coherent. A focus on theory and practice means we are focused on concepts, methods, techniques, approaches and systems.We are not a journal for case studies as such. Case studies are welcome if they explicitly demonstrate innovative theory or practice, but only in that context. You may have done the world's most thorough impact assessment of a power plant, dam, refinery, whatever, but if there was no innovation in the theory or practice of EIA involved, please submit your paper somewhere else.The topical focus of EIA Review is meant to mirror the interests of its audience. Environmental Science & Policy promotes communication among government, business and industry, academia, and non-governmental organisations who are instrumental in the solution of environmental problems. It also seeks to advance interdisciplinary research of policy relevance on environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity, environmental pollution and wastes, renewable and non-renewable natural resources, sustainability, and the interactions among these issues. The journal emphasises the linkages between these environmental issues and social and economic issues such as production, transport, consumption, growth, demographic changes, well-being, and health. However, the subject coverage will not be restricted to these issues and the introduction of new dimensions will be encouraged.Editorial Policy:Environmental Science and Policy will publish original research papers, research and policy reviews and notes, forum discussion of published work and book reviews in English. Submitted papers should address environmental issues of international significance, aim at informing policy debates and making, and be of international relevance. Hence, manuscripts focusing on local issues are welcome if they suggest research strategies or offer lessons that valuable more generally. Manuscripts which reveal the need for further scientific research are also welcome. All contributions will be independently reviewed. Environmental Sociology is dedicated to applying and advancing the sociological imagination in relation to a wide variety of environmental challenges, controversies and issues, at every level from the global to local, from ‘world culture’ to diverse local perspectives. As an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal, Environmental Sociology aims to stretch the conceptual and theoretical boundaries of both environmental and mainstream sociology, to highlight the relevance of sociological research for environmental policy and management, to disseminate the results of sociological research, and to engage in productive dialogue and debate with other disciplines in the social, natural and ecological sciences.

Contributions may utilize a variety of theoretical orientations including, but not restricted to: critical theory, cultural sociology, ecofeminism, ecological modernization, environmental justice, organizational sociology, political ecology, political economy, post-colonial studies, risk theory, social psychology, science and technology studies, globalization, world-systems analysis, and so on. Cross- and transdisciplinary contributions are welcome where they demonstrate a novel attempt to understand social-ecological relationships in a manner that engages with the core concerns of sociology in social relationships, institutions, practices and processes. All methodological approaches in the environmental social sciences – qualitative, quantitative, integrative, spatial, policy analysis, etc. – are welcomed. Environmental Sociology welcomes high-quality submissions from scholars around the world.

Eurasian Geography and Economics features original papers by leading specialists and scholars on salient geographic and economic issues in China, Russia, India, European Union, and other regions within the Eurasian realm. Included in all issues are symposia on topics of worldwide significance, review papers, and empirical research focused on analysis of recent economic and geographic developments (published since 1960).

Europe-Asia Studies is the principal academic journal in the world focusing on the history and current political, social and economic affairs of the countries of the former 'communist bloc' of the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and Asia. At the same time, the journal explores the economic, political and social transformation of these countries and the changing character of their relationships with the rest of Europe and Asia. From its first publication in 1949, until January 1993, the title of Europe-Asia Studies was Soviet Studies. The Editors' decision to change the title to Europe-Asia Studies followed the collapse of the Soviet Union at the end of 1991. It reflected the belief that countries of the former 'Soviet bloc' would gradually become more closely linked with both Europe and Asia, while continuing to present distinctive topics for research as a consequence of their specific experience. In 2007 the Editors took a further decision to extend the journal's scope to include China and other Asian countries that are or were under communist rule. Europe-Asia Studies is published by Routledge on behalf of the Department of Central and East European Studies, a centre for teaching and research at the University of Glasgow. European Journal of East Asian Studies is a multi-disciplinary journal dedicated to East Asia, one of the most varied, complex, and rapidly changing parts of the world. Published in Europe by European specialists, the journal is open to new ideas and findings from wherever they may come. We welcome the submission of manuscripts in social sciences such as political science, economics, sociology and cultural studies (including but not limited to business studies, development studies, international relations, political economy,...). Articles can address the wider East Asian region (China, Japan, Korean Peninsular, Japan, Mongolia), including Southeast Asia (ASEAN countries but not Oceania/South Pacific). They may also study inter-regional relations involving the Asian region (such as Asia-Europe relations for instance), or sub-regions (such as Southeast Asia for example) and individual East Asian countries. The journal covers both 20th and 21st centuries with a clear contemporary focus.

Mark the launch of IJHP in 2010 with FREE access to volume 10, issue 1The International Journal of Housing Policy aims to be the leading forum for the critical analysis of housing policy, systems and practice from a social science perspective. It is published quartely. We welcome articles based on policy-relevant research and analysis focused on all parts of the world. We especially encourage papers that contribute to comparative housing analysis, but articles on national or sub-national housing systems are also welcome if they contain data, arguments or policy implications that are relevant to an international audience.
