Bioinformatics is a new scientific discipline that combines biology, computer science, mathematics, and statistics into a broad-based field that will have profound impacts on all fields of biology. It is the comprehensive application of mathematics (e.g., probability and graph theory), statistics, science (e.g., biochemistry), and computer science (e.g., computer algorithms and machine learning) to the understanding of living systems. IJBRA addresses the most innovative developments, research issues and solutions in bioinformatics and computational biology and their applications.
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules is an established international journal of research into chemical and biological aspects of all natural macromolecules. It presents the latest findings of studies on the molecular structure of proteins, macromolecular carbohydrates, lignins, biological poly-acids, and nucleic acids. The scope further includes biological activities and interactions, molecular associations, chemical and biological modifications, and functional properties as well as development of related model systems, structural including conformational studies, new analytical techniques, and relevant theoretical developments. All papers are required to focus primarily on at least one named biological macromolecule. This naming should appear in the title, the abstract and the text of the paper.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. The last quarter century has witnessed major advancements that have brought biomedical imaging to a paramount status in life sciences. As a prominent example, the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) was established in 2000 as the newest institute in the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. Generally speaking, the scope of biomedical imaging covers data acquisition, image reconstruction, and image analysis, involving theories, methods, systems, and applications. While tomographic and post-processing techniques become increasingly sophisticated, traditional and emerging modalities play more and more critical roles in anatomical, functional, cellular, and molecular imaging. The overall goal of the International Journal of Biomedical Imaging is to promote research and development of biomedical imaging by publishing high-quality research articles and reviews in this rapidly growing interdisciplinary field.International Journal of Biomedical Imaging is operated by a board of editors consisting of internationally known active researchers. The journal is made available online for free and can also be purchased in print. It utilizes a web-based review process for speedy turnaround up to high standards. In addition to regular issues, special issues will be organized by guest editors. Proposals for special issues should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief. Subject areas include (but are not limited to):Digital radiography and tomosynthesisX-ray computed tomography (CT)Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)Positron emission tomography (PET)Ultrasound imagingDiffuse optical tomography, coherence, fluorescence, bioluminescence tomography, impedance tomographyNeutron imaging for biomedical applicationsMagnetic and optical spectroscopy, and optical biopsyOptical, electron, scanning tunneling/atomic force microscopySmall animal imagingFunctional, cellular, and molecular imagingImaging assays for screening and molecular analysisMicroarray image analysis and bioinformaticsEmerging biomedical imaging techniquesImaging modality fusionBiomedical imaging instrumentationBiomedical image processing, pattern recognition, and analysisBiomedical image visualization, compression, transmission, and storageImaging and modeling related to systems biology and systems biomedicineApplied mathematics, applied physics, and chemistry related to biomedical imagingGrid-enabling technology for biomedical imaging and informatics.

The International Journal of Clinical Oncology (IJCO) welcomes original research papers on all aspects of clinical oncology that report the results of novel and timely investigations. Reports on clinical trials are encouraged. Experimental studies will also be accepted if they have obvious relevance to clinical oncology. Membership in the Japan Society of Clinical Oncology is not a prerequisite for submission to the journal. Papers are received on the understanding that: their contents have not been published in whole or in part elsewhere; that they are subject to peer review by at least two referees and the Editors, and to editorial revision of the language and contents; and that the Editors are responsible for their acceptance, rejection, and order of publication.
The online-version will be updated every month before the print-version of the Clinical Nephrology will be published. Upon request we will send the password and user name by e-mail. The online-service is only available for subscribers of the print-version, if proof of purchase is submitted. The use of the online-version will be charged with an extra fee (additional to the subscription of the print-version). The service can be used until December 31st of the year of subscription.

IJCP is a general medical journal. IJCP gives special priority to work that has international appeal. IJCP encourages enquiries from potential contributors prior to formal submission.IJCP publishes: Editorials. IJCP Editorials are commissioned. [Peer reviewed at the editor's discretion] Perspectives. Most IJCP Perspectives are commissioned. Example. [Peer reviewed at the editor's discretion] Study design and interpretation. Example. [Always peer reviewed] Original data from clinical investigations. In particular: Primary research papers from RCTs, observational studies, epidemiological studies; pre-specified sub-analyses; pooled analyses. [Always peer reviewed] Meta-analyses. [Always peer reviewed] Systematic reviews. From October 2009, special priority will be given to systematic reviews. [Always peer reviewed] Non-systematic/narrative reviews. From October 2009, reviews that are not systematic will be considered only if they include a discrete Methods section that must explicitly describe the authors' approach. Special priority will, however, be given to systematic reviews. [Always peer reviewed] 'How to…' papers. Example. [Always peer reviewed] Consensus statements. [Always peer reviewed] Short reports.
