An interdisciplinary journal focusing on innovative soft matter topics through original research and reviews. Soft Matter provides a unique forum for the communication of significant advances in interdisciplinary soft matter research. There is a particular focus on the interface between chemistry, physics, materials science, biology and chemical engineering. Research may report new soft materials or phenomena, encompass their design, synthesis, and use in new applications; or provide fundamental insight and observations on their behaviour. Experimental, theoretical and computational soft matter approaches are encouraged.

South African Journal of Chemical Engineering, SAJCE, aims to be the principal open access journal for publication of high quality, original papers in all areas of chemical engineering. The journal is fully international with contributions encouraged from both within and outside South Africa. In addition to publishing full research articles the journal also welcomes review papers and shorter communications.

The journal has a particular interest in publishing papers on the unique issues facing chemical engineering taking place in countries that are rich in resources but face specific technical and societal challenges, which require detailed knowledge of local conditions to address.

Submissions are not restricted to the above fields and topics and the journal is keen to receive papers covering the broad range of topics within and allied to chemical engineering. This list is to include, amongst other topics, process safety; food engineering; bioprocess engineering; sustainability, thermodynamics and energy research.

Sustainable Energy & Fuels publishes high quality scientific research that will drive the development of sustainable energy technologies, with a particular emphasis on innovative concepts and approaches. The journal is an essential resource for energy researchers and cuts across chemistry and its interfaces with materials science, physics and biology – covering evolving and emerging areas such as the following: • Solar energy conversion including photovoltaics and artificial photosynthesis • Energy storage including batteries, flow batteries and supercapacitors • Catalysis for energy technologies, including the sustainable synthesis of fuels and chemicals, and molecular/bioinspired catalysis • Electrocatalysis, photocatalysis and thermal catalysis • Fuel cells • Hydrogen production, storage and distribution • Carbon dioxide utilisation, including fuels and chemicals from carbon dioxide • Biorefining and Biofuels • Capacitive desalination and desalination batteries • Other sustainable energy conversion technologies including thermochemical, piezoelectric and thermoelectric materials and devices Energy science and technologies that avoid the use of critical raw elements or detrimental environmental effects during preparation, manufacture and end-of-life are particularly encouraged.

Theoretical and Computational Fluid Dynamics provides a forum for the cross-fertilization of ideas, tools and techniques across all disciplines in which fluid flow plays a role, such as: aeronautical sciences, geophysical and environmental sciences, life sciences and materials sciences. Of particular interest are papers that unravel complex flow physics through combined computational and experimental efforts or through a fundamental theoretical analysis that complements computational work. The journal publishes scholarly research papers, invited review articles, brief communications, letters and comments on previously published papers. It addresses scientists, engineers and applied mathematicians working in all fields concerned with fundamental aspects of fluid flow.
