The Journal publishes original articles in the English language based on the research work of academic institutes in Russia and CIS. The Journal welcomes original works in thermophysics from various countries. The Journal focuses on experimental work, theory, analysis, and computational studies for better understanding of engineering and environmental aspects of thermophysics. The editorial board encourages the authors to submit papers with emphasis on new scientific aspects in experimental and visualization techniques, mathematical models of thermophysical process, energy, and environmental applications. The Journal covers all subject areas of thermophysics, including heat and mass transfer, multiphase flow, conduction, radiation, combustion, thermogasdynamics, rarefied gas flow, environmental protection in power engineering, and many others.Until 2002 the Journal was titled the Russian Journal of Engineering Thermophysics.

The Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention (JFAP) is written for and read by individuals involved in failure analysis, materials scientists, and mechanical, manufacturing, aeronautical, civil, chemical, corrosion, and design engineers. The publication is unique in that it contains current news and technical articles, as well as archival peer-reviewed papers and reviews. JFAP provides information gathering techniques, technical analysis, and emerging tools that will assist failure analysis professionals in determining the cause of failures and eliminating failures in the future. Articles demonstrate the importance of failure analysis to product/performance improvements and industrial problem solving. JFAP is intended to be of interest to both the experienced and less experienced failure analysis practitioner with a focus on shared interest across the industries. Journal of Forestry Research (JFR), a quarterly journal published by the Northeast Forestry University and Ecological Society of China under administration of the Ministry of Education of P. R. China, was founded in 1990.
