1. Vision Research is a journal devoted to the functional aspects of human, vertebrate and invertebrate vision and publishes experimental and observational studies, reviews, and theoretical papers firmly based upon the current facts of visual science. Vision Research also accepts experimental studies in which clinical material has been used to address an issue of basic research interest, or where basic research methods have been used to address an issue of clinical importance, or where basic research may have, as yet unapplied, clinical relevance, as far as mechanisms of function or dysfunction of the visual system are concerned. The words clinical and vision sciences should be interpreted in the broadest sense, as represented by the areas of expertise of the members of the Editorial Board. Papers reporting detailed investigations are encouraged and authors should be advised to include enough background material in the introduction of their papers so that they are comprehensible to the non-specialist. The purpose of theoretical papers is to give a higher sense of order to the facts as they are presently known, or to point to new observations which can be verified experimentally. Papers dealing with questions in the history of visual science should lay stress upon the history of ideas in this field. Vision Research has always welcomed the broadest interpretation of visual science.2. Vision Research also welcomes mini reviews. A mini review is not intended to be a comprehensive history of the subject, but rather a survey of recent developments in fast-growing and active areas of vision research covering only the last few years.3. Letters to the Editor: If in response to a published article a letter to the Editor is received, this letter will be sent out for review and at the same time be forwarded to the author(s) tackled. If the letter is accepted, the author(s) of the initial paper will be invited to write a reply within a short period of time, and the reviewers of the letter will be asked to review the reply.4. Obituaries: Vision Research has a restrictive Obituary policy. Obituaries should be submitted to the appropriate Section Editor and the Chairman, and should not exceed a length of one printed page including photograph.5. Special non-recurrent symposia may be published in Vision Research. Symposium organizers are requested to contact the Chairman. The decision is made by the Editorial Board of Vision Research at the annual meeting during ARVO.6. Visual Cognition publishes new empirical research that increases theoretical understanding of human visual cognition. Studies may be concerned with any aspect of visual cognition such as object, face, and scene recognition; visual attention and search; short-term and long-term visual memory; visual word recognition and reading; eye movement control and active vision; and visual imagery. The journal is devoted to research at the interface of visual perception and cognition and does not typically publish papers in areas of perception or psychophysics that are covered by the many publication outlets for those topics. The typical study will use behavioral methods, but reports clearly motivated by theoretical issues in visual cognition that use alternative populations or methods such as neuroimaging (e.g., fMRI, ERP, MEG) or modeling (computational or mathematical) are also encouraged.Articles take two forms. Full Articles typically involve multiple experiments and a relatively in-depth discussion of the theoretical implications of the work. There are no length restrictions though authors should strive for brevity. Brief Articles report new and unexpected empirical findings of broad interest and will be favored for novelty of approach or method. Manuscripts submitted as Brief Articles will receive a simple accept or reject disposition in the shortest possible time, and when accepted will receive priority for publication. Brief Articles have a maximum of 3000 words including abstract, notes, captions, and appendices, but excluding bibliography. The bibliography for a Brief Article should not exceed 30 references, and figures and tables should be used sparingly. A word count should be included on the title page.Peer Review IntegrityAll published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by independent expert referees.Special IssuesIssues devoted to a single topic are regularly published in this journal. The World Leisure Journal is international in scope, and encourages submissions from authors from all areas of the world. Young Exceptional Children (YEC) is written for teachers, early care and education personnel, educational administrators, therapists, families and others who work with or on behalf of children from birth through 8 years of age who have identified disabilities, developmental delays, are gifted/talented, or are at risk for future developmental problems. It offers useful, friendly articles that help readers implement research-based strategies and interventions across many settings.

Youth Justice is an international, peer-reviewed journal that engages with the analyses of juvenile/youth justice systems, law, policy and practice around the world. It contains articles that are theoretically informed and/or grounded in the latest empirical research. Youth Justice enjoys an ever-increasing international presence in recognition of the developing interest in juvenile/youth justice theory and system formation within the national and international academic, policy and professional practice communities. It has a focus on effective policy and practice, drawing lessons from pioneering approaches to juvenile/youth crime from around the world, in a context of children`s rights.

Youth Violence and Juvenile Justice (YVJJ), peer-reviewed and published quarterly, serves a diverse audience of academics and practitioners in juvenile justice and related fields with a resource for publishing current empirical research, discussing theoretical issues, and reviewing promising interventions and programs in the areas of youth violence, juvenile justice, and school safety. Articles address the fields of juvenile justice and youth and school violence prevention.

Gesundheitspsychologie versteht sich als wissenschaftlicher Beitrag der Psychologie zur Fo¨rderung und Erhaltung von Gesundheit, zur Verhu¨tung und Behandlung von Krankheiten, zur Bestimmung von Risikoverhaltensweisen, zur Diagnose und Ursachenbestimmung von gesundheitlichen Sto¨rungen sowie zur Verbessung des Systems gesundheitlicher Vorsorge. Die Zeitschrift fu¨r Gesundheitspsychologie will Theorie und Anwendung psychologischer Ansa¨tze bei der Analyse von Gesundheit und Krankheit fo¨rdern.
