Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics reports on topics such as: radio astronomy; plasma astrophysics; ionospheric, atmospheric and oceanic physics; radiowave propagation; quantum radiophysics; physics of oscillations and waves; physics of plasmas; statistical radiophysics; electrodynamics; vacuum and plasma electronics; acoustics; and solid-state electronics. Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics is a translation of the peer-reviewed Russian journal Izvestiya VUZ. Radiofizika, published by the Radiophysical Research Institute and N.I. Lobachevsky State University at Nizhnii Novgorod, Russia.
Peer-reviewed and published bimonthly, Rare Metals is the official journal of the Nonferrous Metals Society of China. The journal is dedicated to the publication and the dissemination of original research articles (and occasional invited reviews) in the field of rare metals to establish a platform of communication between engineers and scientists. Its coverage includes the metallurgy, processing, and determination of rare metals. The journal also publishes papers on the application of rare metals in advanced materials, such as superconductors, semiconductors, composites, and ceramics.
The Journal publishes papers dealing with new ideas and developments in the science and technology of polymers with functional groups that provide specific chemical reactivity or physico-chemical behaviour. The scope covers organic and inorganic functional polymers, acting as reagents, catalysts, carriers of protecting groups, templates, ion-exchangers, selective sorbents, chelating agents, supports for enzymes and cells, and the like. It also includes reactive cross-linkable prepolymers, degradable or bioactive polymers, polymer resists, conducting polymers, and film-forming polymers.Contributions have to present thorough molecular and material characterisation data, and may deal with the synthesis of the above polymers or with their applications in organic synthesis, catalysis, water or effluent treatment, separations, recovery, lithography, microelectronics, information storage, energy conversion, diagnostics, drug delivery, coating and encapsulation, and adhesion. The Journal addresses two main audiences: those engaged in the synthesis of new materials and the development of novel techniques, and those concerned with technology and practical applications in the laboratory or plant. The Journal encourages, and serves as a forum for, the dialogue between these two groups.Papers on a broad spectrum of topics are encouraged. Emphasis is on work at the frontiers of science or technology and furthering the interaction between researcher and practical engineer, rather than on details of theory or application. Full-length papers and review articles will be considered. However, authors intending to write a review should contact an Editor first. Uninvited reviews will not be considered. All material submitted must be original, that is it may not have been submitted elsewhere for publication.Lack of originality, insufficient molecular characterisation, poor comparison with the current state of literature and with the authors' own production are, individually, sufficient reasons for rejection.
Recent Patents on Nanotechnology publishes review and research articles, and guest edited thematic issues on recent patents in the field of nanotechnology. A selection of important and recent patents on nanotechnology is also included in the journal. The journal is essential reading for all researchers involved in nanotechnology.
The bi-monthly journal Refractories and Industrial Ceramics publishes peer-reviewed articles on the latest developments and discoveries in the field of refractory materials and ceramics, focusing on the practical aspects of their production and use. Coverage includes: Scientific Research; Raw Materials; Production; Equipment; Heat Engineering and Applications. Refractories and Industrial Ceramics is a translation of the Russian journal Novye Ogneupory (New Refractories).
Reinforced Plastics magazine and the ReinforcedPlastics.com website deliver business and technology information to the global composites industry: daily news; weekly e-mail newsletter; technical and business feature articles; podcasts and webcasts; online Buyers' Guide; jobs; events and training; and more.
An international journal focused on innovative research relating to the management and technological developments of textiles and the textile industry
Research in Nondestructive Evaluation® is the American Society for Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation’s archival research journal. RNDE® contains the results of original research in all areas of nondestructive evaluation (NDE). The journal covers experimental and theoretical investigations dealing with the scientific and engineering bases of NDE, its measurement and methodology, and a wide range of applications of materials and structures that relate to the entire life cycle, from manufacture to use and retirement. Illustrative topics include advances in the underlying science of acoustic, thermal, electrical, magnetic, optical and ionizing radiation techniques and their applications to NDE problems. These problems include the nondestructive characterization of a wide variety of material properties and their degradation in service, nonintrusive sensors for monitoring manufacturing and materials processes, new techniques and combinations of techniques for detecting and characterizing hidden discontinuities and distributed damage in materials, standardization concepts and quantitative approaches for advanced NDE techniques, and long-term continuous monitoring of structures and assemblies.
Restaurator is the only international periodical specializing exclusively in the conservation of library and archive materials. Articles examine the many important aspects of this subject area, such as technology, practical experience and organization. They also focus on scientific basics: Many articles deal with the development of new preservation techniques and the improvement and better understanding of established methods. The articles are written in English with summaries in English, French and German.By reading Restaurator regularly, librarians, archivists and restorers can keep up to date with the latest research and developments. The editorial committee is made up of experts from well-known institutions and organizations from all over the world.
Results in Materials is part of the Materials Today journal family. It is an open-access journal that serves as a platform for the community of materials scientists and engineers to share their findings and visions in materials. This journal aims to promote the visibility of exploratory studies, preliminary/incremental results, and negative results with scientifically sound explanation. Results in Materials has a broad scope spanning all materials science and engineering subfields, welcoming articles in the following areas:
1. Full research papers
2. Microarticles: very short papers, no longer than 2 pages. They may consist of a single, but well-described piece of information, such as:
- Data and/or a plot plus a description
- Description of a new method or instrumentation
- Negative results
- Concept or design study
All submitted manuscripts are fully peer-reviewed and after acceptance, a publication fee is charged to cover all editorial, production, and archiving costs. Different publication fees apply for the two types of papers: USD 750 for full papers and USD 500 for microarticles (excluding taxes). Accepted papers are freely accessible to anyone.
