The Revue de Ge´ographie Alpine / Journal of Alpine Research is an international, multidisciplinary journal. It publishes hitherto unpublished scientific papers on regional and environmental problems concerning the Alpine Arc and European mountain areas. Analyses of other mountain areas of the world may also be included in issues dealing with a comparative theme. The journal publishes articles both in French and in English. Since 1953 the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography (and antecedents) has been a leading international forum for scholarship on tropical environments, localities and their connections. The SJTG publishes theoretical and empirical articles and reviews that deal with the physical and human environments of the tropics and development issues from geographical as well as interrelated disciplinary viewpoints. We therefore welcome contributions from the humanities, social or environmental sciences that advance research on tropical natures, places or interconnections.

This ISTRO-affiliated journal examines the physical, chemical and biological changes in the soil caused by tillage and field traffic. Manuscripts will be considered on aspects of soil science, physics, technology, mechanization and applied engineering for a sustainable balance among productivity, environmental quality and profitability. This multidisciplinary journal is based on the assumption that the critical issues pertaining to spatial cognition and computation lie at the intersection of a number of disciplines--in particular, cognitive psychology, computer science, geography, neuropsychology, and artificial intelligence. Recent years have seen a growth in the desire of these communities to share insights and results. The aim of the journal is to concentrate the presentation of research into spatial cognition and computation, and to explicitly foster an interdisciplinary dialogue. Spatial Cognition and Computation encourages the submission of articles on any topic in the area of spatial cognition and spatial computation. The prime focus of Tectonophysics will be high-impact original research and reviews in the fields of kinematics, structure, composition, and dynamics of the solid earth at all scales. Tectonophysics particularly encourages submission of papers based on the integration of a multitude of geophysical, geological, geochemical, geodynamic, and geotectonic methods with focus on:• Kinematics and deformation of the lithosphere based on space geodesy (e.g. GPS, InSAR), neoteoctonic studies, tectonic geomorphology, and geochronology;• Structure, composition, and thermal state of the crust and mantle and their evolution in various time scales based ongeophysical and geochemical studies;• Structural geology, folding, faulting, fracturing, analysis of stress and strain, and rock mechanics;• Orogenesis, tectonism, thermochronology, surficial processes, land-climate interactions, and Lithospheric-asthenospheric interactions;• Active tectonics, seismology, mechanisms of earthquakes and volcanism, geological hazards and their societal impacts;• Rheology and numerical modelling of geodynamic processes;• Laboratory measurements of physical and chemical parameters of crustal and mantle rocks, and their application to geophysics and petrology;• Innovative development, including testing, of new methods in geophysics and geodynamics.Tectonophysics welcomes contributions of three types:• Regular papers.• Fast track papers for short, innovative rapid communication, which will usually be reviewed within three weeks after submission. The Cryosphere (TC) is an international scientific journal dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on all aspects of frozen water and ground on Earth and on other planetary bodies.The main subject areas are:* ice sheets and glaciers;* planetary ice bodies;* permafrost, river and lake ice;* seasonal snowcover;* sea ice;* remote sensing, numerical modelling, in-situ and laboratory studies of the above and including studies of the interaction of the cryosphere with the rest of the climate system.The Cryosphere has an innovative two-stage publication process which involves a scientific discussion forum and exploits the full potential of the Internet to:* foster scientific discussion;* enhance the effectiveness and transparency of scientific quality assurance;* enable rapid publication;* make scientific publications freely accessible.In the first stage, papers that pass a rapid access-review by one of the editors are immediately published on the The Cryosphere Discussions (TCD) website. In the second stage, the peer-review process is completed and, if accepted, the final revised papers are published in TC.
