METEORITICS & PLANETARY SCIENCE is an international monthly journal of planetary science published by the Meteoritical Society - a scholarly organization promoting research and education in planetary science. First issued in 1953, the journal publishes research articles describing the latest results of new studies, invited reviews of major topics in planetary science, editorials on issues of current interest in the field, and book reviews. The publications are original, not considered for publication elsewhere, and undergo peer-review. The topics include the origin and history of the solar system, planets and natural satellites, interplanetary dust and interstellar medium, lunar samples, meteors, and meteorites, asteroids, comets, craters, and tektites. Our authors and editors are professional scientists representing numerous disciplines, including astronomy, astrophysics, physics, geophysics, chemistry, isotope geochemistry, mineralogy, earth science, geology, and biology. MAPS has subscribers in over 40 countries. Fifty percent of MAPS' readers are based outside the USA. The journal is available in hard copy and online.

The aim of Meteorological Applications is to serve the needs of applied meteorologists, forecasters and users of meteorological services by publishing papers on all aspects of meteorological science, including:

Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics publishes original research papers discussing physical and chemical processes in both clear and cloudy atmospheres. The following topic areas are particularly emphasized: atmospheric dynamics and general circulation; synoptic meteorology; weather systems in specific regions, such as the tropics, the polar caps and the oceans; atmospheric energetics; numerical modeling and forecasting; physical and chemical processes in the atmosphere, including radiation, optical effects, electricity, and atmospheric turbulence and transport processes, and mathematical and statistical techniques applied to meteorological data sets. Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics discusses physical and chemical processes - in both clear and cloudy atmospheres - including radiation, optical and electrical effects, precipitation and cloud microphysics.

Micropaleontology is an international journal publishing peer-reviewed research on the fossilizing microbiota. Subject areas include taxonomy, morphology, evolution, biostratigraphy and environmental interpretation in all relevant protist, palynomorph and animal groups. Four general issues and two monographic issues per year.

Founded in 1981 (as the International Journal of Mine Water), Mine Water and the Environment presents original contributions addressing technical questions and practical issues related to the evaluation, prediction, prevention, or control of water problems at mining operations or their impact on the environment. Both the journal and its audience are interdisciplinary. Published papers convey new technical information by and for researchers and practitioners in this field. Coverage includes laboratory and field experiments, modeling efforts, studies of relevant field sites, technical evaluations of new technology, and engineering applications. Mineral Processing and Extractive Metallurgy Review publishes papers dealing with both applied and theoretical aspects of extractive and process metallurgy and mineral processing. It emphasizes research germane to specific industrial processes and research that examines economic and environmental issues as well as basic engineering technology. Review papers devoted to ore genesis, properties and uses of minerals, the scientific, engineering and economic aspects of the extraction, separation and purification of minerals and metals, and the post-treatment of mineral processing and extractive treatment of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy effluents are also invited. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing narrowly focused subjects of regional or topical significance are published when the Editors feel there is sufficient interest among readers.

The journal Mineralium Deposita introduces new observations, principles, and interpretations from the field of economic geology, including nonmetallic mineral deposits, experimental and applied geochemistry, with emphasis on mineral deposits. It offers short and comprehensive articles, review papers, brief original papers, scientific discussions and news, as well as reports on meetings of importance to mineral research. The emphasis is on high-quality content and form for all articles and on international coverage of subject matter.The journal also publishes brief fast track papers including up to four display items (tables, line diagrams, photographs) as Letters or Notes. All papers are subject to international peer review.The journal is of interest to those engaged in field geology, mineral deposit research, and ore deposit exploration.

Mineralogy and Petrology is devoted to multidisciplinary coverage of the entire field of mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry. Its coverage focuses on mineralogically-oriented topics in crystallography, crystal chemistry, applied mineralogy, mineral physics, the study of ore deposits, and environmental mineralogy, in an attempt to counteract increasing fragmentation in the earth sciences. Mineralogy and Petrology was founded in 1872 by Gustav Tschermak as 'Mineralogische Mitteilungen'. It is one of Europe's oldest geoscience journals. Among its former editors are such outstanding names as Gustav Tschermak, Friedrich Becke, Felix Machatschki, Josef Zemann and Eugen F. Stumpfl.

Minerals (ISSN 2075-163X) is an international open access journal of mineral resources, mining and mineral processing. It publishes reviews, regular research papers and short notes. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

The purpose of the journal is to provide for the rapid publication of topical papers featuring the latest developments in the allied fields of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy. Its wide ranging coverage of research and practical (operating) topics includes physical separation methods, such as comminution, flotation concentration and dewatering, chemical methods such as bio-, hydro-, and electro-metallurgy, analytical techniques, process control, simulation and instrumentation, and mineralogical aspects of processing. Monthly Notices is one of the world's leading primary research journals in astronomy and astrophysics, as well as one of the longest established. It publishes the results of original research in positional and dynamical astronomy, astrophysics, radio astronomy, cosmology, space research and the design of astronomical instruments. Monthly Notices welcomes submissions from astronomers world-wide; two thirds of its content originates from outside the UK. It is run entirely by astronomers and, receiving no financial support from anywhere, makes its decision to publish only on scientific judgements.
