Lingua e Stile was founded in 1966 by Luigi Heilmann and Ezio Raimondi as a meeting point between philosophy of language, linguistics and literary criticism. In 2002, in a very different cultural context, it launched a new biannual series dedicated to the history of the Italian language. The series encompasses various rigorous methodological approaches and presents studies, with a broad range of themes, dedicated to the history of language and dialects in Italy. It also provides a forum for research that touches upon other disciplines, including literary criticism, dialectology, sociolinguistics and philology.

Linguistics and Philosophy focuses on issues related to structure and meaning in natural language, as addressed in the semantics, philosophy of language, pragmatics and related disciplines, in particular the following areas:

philosophical theories of meaning and truth, reference, description, entailment, presupposition, implicatures, context-dependence, and speech acts

linguistic theories of semantic interpretation in relation to syntactic structure and prosody, of discourse structure, lexcial semantics and semantic change

psycholinguistic theories of semantic interpretation and issues of the processing and acquisition of natural language, and the relation of semantic interpretation to other cognitive faculties

mathematical and logical properties of natural language and general aspects of computational linguistics

philosophical questions raised by linguistics as a science.

It publishes articles, replies, book reviews and review articles.

Logic Journal of the IGPL publishes papers in all areas of pure and applied logic, including pure logical systems, proof theory, model theory, recursion theory, type theory, nonclassical logics, nonmonotonic logic, numerical and uncertainty reasoning, logic and AI, foundations of logic programming, logic and computation, logic and language, and logic engineering.The journal is published in both hard copy and in electronic form. Manuscrito is an international journal of philosophy publishing articles on a wide range of philosophical topics, especially in the history of philosophy, philosophy of language, philosophy of the formal sciences, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, political philosophy and philosophy of mind. The journal does not privilege any particular philosophical approach. Its purpose is to reflect the progress of philosophy as a whole and to increase the exchange of ideas and arguments between different contemporary schools of thought. Manuscrito is mostly devoted to original articles dealing with relevant and important philosophical issues. However, there is also a section for reviews of selected books and for critical discussions of important articles. Since Manuscrito intends to promote international philosophical dialogue, submissions from all over the world are welcome. Articles must be written in either English, Spanish, Portuguese or French.

Medical Humanities is a leading international journal that reflects the whole field of medical humanities. Medical Humanities aims to encourage a high academic standard for this evolving and developing subject and to enhance professional and public discussion. It features original articles relevant to the delivery of healthcare, the formulation of public health policy, the experience of being ill and of caring for those who are ill, as well as case conferences, educational case studies, book, film, and art reviews, editorials, correspondence, news and notes. To ensure international relevance Medical Humanities has Editorial Board members from all around the world.

Metaphilosophy publishes articles and book reviews stressing considerations about philosophy and particular schools, methods or fields of philosophy. The intended scope is very broad: no method, field or school is excluded. Particular areas of interest include: the foundation, scope, function and direction of philosophy; justification of philosophical methods and arguments; the interrelations among schools or fields of philosophy (for example, the relation of logic to problems in ethics or epistemology); aspects of philosophical systems; presuppositions of philosophical schools; the relation of philosophy to other disciplines (for example, artificial intelligence, linguistics or literature); sociology of philosophy; the relevance of philosophy to social and political action; issues in the teaching of philosophy.

The organ of no institution or society, Metaphysica provides a medium for the research, development, and criticism in analytical ontology and metaphysics. It also provides a forum for critical, constructive, and interpretative consideration in the history of ontology and metaphysics. Articles, discussions, and reviews in this journal are intended to serve the research interests of philosophers and students in all areas of philosophy.
