Anthropology & Education Quarterly is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarship on schooling in social and cultural context and on human learning both inside and outside of schools. Articles rely primarily on ethnographic research to address immediate problems of practice as well as broad theoretical questions. AEQ also publishes on the teaching of anthropology.

Anthropology Today is a bimonthly publication which aims to provide a forum for the application of anthropological analysis to public and topical issues, while reflecting the breadth of interests within the discipline of anthropology. It is also committed to promoting debate at the interface between anthropology and areas of applied knowledge such as education, medicine, development etc. as well as that between anthropology and other academic disciplines. Anthropology Today encourages submissions on a wide range of topics, consistent with these aims. Anthropology Today is an international journal both in the scope of issues it covers and in the sources it draws from.

Anthropology and Humanism concerns that central question of the discipline: what it is to be human. AH welcomes contributions from all major fields of anthropology and from scholars in other social science disciplines, as well as the humanities. It seeks to bring out the intricate and contradictory processes of life in other cultures--including those of anthropologists. Whether working with life histories or demographics, poetics or nutrition, artistic expression or scientific writing, this journal strives to maintain a focus on the human actors themselves. AH values writing that delights, writing that outrages, writing that evokes the human condition in all its messiness, glory, and misery, writing that reveals the social blockages that are deleterious to our social and physical environment and is able to promote cross-cultural understanding.

To this end, Anthropology and Humanism publishes work in a variety of genres, including fiction and creative nonfiction, poetry, drama, and photo essays, as well as more conventional articles and reviews. The journal publishes semi-annually by the Society for Humanistic Anthropology.

The Anthropology of Work Review is the publication of the Society for the Anthropology of Work, which is a section of the American Anthropological Association. The goal of the journal is to publish research that will facilitate exchanges between those engaged in the study of all dimensions of human work. Articles and photo essays are welcomed from those working inside and outside academic contexts, from all nations and from all subfields and areas of specialty within anthropology. Theoretical and methodological discussions of the study of work and its contexts are encouraged, including interdisciplinary, collaborative, and student submissions.

Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy publishes articles that achieve two objectives: to synthesize, integrate and analyze areas of current applied economic research within the mission of the AAEA in order to inform the decision-making and policy-making community; and to stimulate linkages between sub-fields of agricultural and applied economics in a way that illuminates and focuses future research and increases knowledge among researchers about the impact of public policy. The journal’s aim is to reframe the breadth of available technical economic literature to inform future economic research and broader audiences by presenting high quality agricultural and applied economic research in a way that is generally accessible. In each issue of the journal, at least two perspectives articles, specifically solicited by the editors, focus on selected themes of interest, alongside which are published submitted articles. Applied Organometallic Chemistry publishes Full Papers, Reviews, Mini Reviews and Communications of scientific research in all areas of organometallic and metal-organic chemistry involving main group metals, transition metals, lanthanides and actinides. All contributions should contain an explicit application of novel compounds, for instance in materials science, nano science, catalysis, chemical vapour deposition, metal-mediated organic synthesis, polymers, bio-organometallics, metallo-therapy, metallo-diagnostics and medicine. Reviews of books covering aspects of the fields of focus are also published. All new compounds should be satisfactorily identified and proof of their structure given according to generally accepted standards. Structural reports, such as papers exclusively dealing with synthesis and characterization, analytical techniques, or X-ray diffraction studies of metal-organic or organometallic compounds will not be considered. The editors reserve the right to refuse without peer review any manuscript that does not comply with the aims and scope of the journal.

Applied Psychology: An International Review is the official journal of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP), the oldest worldwide association of scholars and practitioners of the discipline of psychology (founded in 1920). Applied Psychology: An International Review is a peer-reviewed, truly international outlet for the scholarly dissemination of findings in applied psychology. Articles are encouraged from all areas of applied psychology including, but not limited to, organizational, cross-cultural, educational, health, counseling, sport and environmental psychology. Particularly invited are articles that advance understanding of psychological processes across a range of applied phenomena and studies that examine the effects of different national and cultural contexts. For example, topics such as personality traits and processes, self-regulation, self-efficacy, goals, emotions, values, attitudes, social identity, judgments and decisions, leadership, learning, or instructional design examined within applied domains or cross-culturally. Review papers that stimulate debate and discussion are also encouraged. Three types of freely submitted articles appear in Applied Psychology: Journal Articles describe important research or theoretical developments for specific issues; Lead Articles review and extend a body of research at a critical juncture and are supplemented with peer commentaries to create an international scientific discussion; and International Replication Notes provide replications of known phenomena in new cultural contexts. Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry (formerly Applied Stochastic Models and Data Analysis ) was first published in 1985, publishing contributions in the interface between stochastic modelling, data analysis and their applications in business, finance, insurance, management and production. The main objective is to publish papers, both technical and practical, presenting new results which solve real-life problems or have great potential in doing so. A second objective is to present new methods for solving such problems, i.e. optimization, data base management, knowledge acquisition, expert systems, computer-aided decision supports and neural computing. The scope of the journal is now broadened both in supporting topics and in appropriate methodology. Topics to be added include managerial processes, reliability, quality control, data analysis and data mining. New methodologies include wavelets, Markov-chain Monte Carlo methods and spatial statistics.

Applied Vegetation Science is administratively linked to the Journal of Vegetation Science. It accepts original papers (including shorter ones), reviews, forum contributions and reports. It commissions reviews of selected books. Applied fields covered by the journal include human impact on vegetation, particularly eutrophication and global change, nature conservation, nature management, restoration of plant communities and habitats of threatened plant species, and the planning of semi-natural and urban landscapes. In addition it publishes book reviews and notices of scientific meetings.

Applied and Environmental Soil Science is a peer-reviewed open access journal in the field of soil science aimed at an international audience. Its coverage reflects the multidisciplinarity nature of soil science, and focuses on studies that take account of the dynamics and spatial heterogeneity of processes in soil. Basic studies of the physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological properties of soil, innovations in soil analysis, and the development of statistical tools will be published. Most papers will have a strong applied element. Papers will include experimental and field investigations, mathematical modelling, and occasional review articles.
