EJCMID is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to the publication of communications on infectious diseases of bacterial, viral and parasitic origin. The journal welcomes full articles presenting original research results, invited editorials, and reviews on the following topics:General epidemiology and diagnostics of infectious agentsClinical infectious diseases researchGenetics and phenotypes of host susceptibility towards infectious disease or colonizationUse of animal models to study bacterial infections and the imaging of such infections

Studies should primarily be performed from a mechanistic point of view with emphasis on the inter-relatedness of molecular features with clinical presentation of infections. Papers on the translational application of basic research findings will be prioritized.

European Journal of Clinical Nutrition (EJCN) is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing articles related to human and clinical nutrition. The scope of the journal includes publishing Original Articles, Invited Reviews, Systematic Reviews, Clinical Trials papers and Short Communications based on clinical, metabolic and epidemiological studies that describe methodologies, mechanisms, associations and benefits of nutritional interventions for clinical disease and health promotion. Editorials, Letters to the Editor, Response to Letter and Commentaries also feature in EJCN. EJCN also publishes Supplements to the main journal which feature papers from important international expert consultations and proceedings of relevant meetings and conferences.EJCN aims to cover all aspects of human and clinical nutrition: Clinical and whole body metabolic investigations; Epidemiological, social and behavioural studies in nutrition; Nutritional determinants of growth, development and health; Assessment and measurement of nutritional status and indicators, and their relation to function and health; Nutritional causes and effects of disease; Nutritional interventions in clinical practice and in population settings; Community nutrition and education; and Nutrition, population health and health promotion. Manuscripts based on animal nutrition and in vitro studies will not be considered for publication.

The European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology publishes original papers, short communications, and letters to the editors on all aspects of clinical pharmacology and drug therapy in humans. Coverage includes therapeutic trials; pharmacokinetics; drug metabolism; adverse drug reactions; drug interactions; all aspects of drug development; prescribing policies; pharmacoepidemiology; and matters relating to the safe use of drugs. Data from animal experiments are published only in the context of parallel experiments in man reported in the same paper. The journal also publishes review articles on special problems related to these areas, and encourages debate on controversial issues.

The European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics addresses all aspects of pre-clinical and clinical pharmacokinetics, including drug disposition, drug metabolism, drug transport, drug interactions, bioavailability and biopharmacy. The journal welcomes publications in the field of pharmacokinetic modeling. Analytical methods validation and bioequivalence studies will not be considered for publication. The journal publishes original articles, short preliminary communications, review articles on special topics, and conference proceedings.The European Journal of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics publishes four issues a year.

Founded in 1985, the European Journal of Epidemiology is a forum on the epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases and their control. The results of epidemiologic studies are essential arguments for action in the field of public health policies and efforts are made to bring the journal to the attention of public health decision makers. There is a significant need for European futures research as European countries face numerous substantial problems: at the same time they seek to make a contribution to solving global challenges. European regions “share” common experiences, divisions and conflicts – which altogether build a rich resource for critical examination as well as forward-looking renewal.  European integration after World War II has reshaped political, economic and social relations in Europe and beyond. Therefore, the future of Europe will also depend on the further development of the European Union in its wider transnational and global contexts. Consequently, the journal seeks to foster thorough analysis of key European policies, such as those for research and education.  Nonetheless, topics addressed in the journal are not limited to the (development of the) European Union: we invite articles that raise questions about European futures more generally. Interdisciplinary research is as welcome as are disciplinary studies, ranging from the social sciences and humanities to the natural sciences and engineering. Besides its empirical focus the journal promotes discussions about European traditions and perspectives in futures research. European Journal of Law and Economics has been accepted for Social Sciences Citation Index and will first appear with an Impact Factor in the 2010 Journal Citation Reports (JCR), published in June 2011. The European Journal of Law and Economics provides readers with high quality and empirical research in law and economics. The Journal publishes analytical studies on the impact of legal interventions into economic processes by legislators, courts and regulatory agencies. There is an emphasis on European Community law and the comparative analysis of legal structures and legal problem solutions in member states of the European Community. The European Journal of Nutrition publishes original papers, reviews, and short communications in the nutritional sciences. The manuscripts submitted to the European Journal of Nutrition should have their major focus on the impact of nutrients and non-nutrients on immunology and inflammation, gene expression, metabolism, chronic diseases, or carcinogenesis, or a major focus on epidemiology, including intervention studies with healthy subjects and with patients, food safety, or biofunctionality of food and food components. Papers with a major focus on traditional medicine or food technology will not be accepted. Nor will case studies be accepted. Letters to the editors may be submitted. The European Journal of Plant Pathology is an international journal that publishes original research articles dealing with fundamental and applied aspects of plant pathology. Europe has always been an area of dynamic development in plastic surgery. Its great strength has been the lack of uniformity of this development due to differing cultures, different traditions, and differing medical and surgical philosophies. Over the recent years, these changes have been even more striking and rapid. The European Journal of Plastic Surgery creates a focal point for the input of new advances in clinical techniques and in research. It thus becomes an educational vehicle. In addition to this, the journal provides information on what is going on elsewhere in the world, and it is also willing to accept contributions from outside of Europe. Fields of interest include general plastic and reconstructive surgery, head and neck surgery, aesthetic and craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, treatment of bones, trauma, burn management and basic research related to all aspects of plastic surgery.Submitted articles are first evaluated by the Editor in Chief and if judged appropriate, are peer-reviewed by at least two selected experts. Reviewers may be plastic surgeons or other surgical/ medical specialists with expertise in specific areas of research. Manuscripts provisionally accepted for publication may be returned to the author for corrections or clarifications, in response to suggestions by the Editorial Board or external reviewers, prior to final acceptance.Online submission and peer review for rapid online publication are offered through the Editorial Manager System. The European Journal of Population aims to improve understanding of population phenomena by giving priority to work that contributes to the development of theory and method, and that spans the boundaries between demography and such disciplines as sociology, anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, epidemiology and other sciences contributing to public health. Contributors come from around the world, and the coverage includes both European and non-European countries.The journal addresses a broad public of researchers, policy makers and others concerned with population processes and their consequences.

The European Journal of Psychology of Education (E.J.P.E.) is published four times a year. Original articles on empirical research, reviews of issues and theoretical discussions on relevant issues are welcome. Its content is not confined to the expression of any specific school of thought or perspective; it is open to a wide diversity of areas of research in psychology of education. Sensitive to the diversity and complementary character of the work in different countries, especially across Europe, the E.J.P.E. serves as a tool for integration of diversities in the main fields of research and offers an opportunity for exchange and discussion.
