PM&R is the official scientific journal of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R). It is a monthly, peer reviewed, scholarly publication. It aims to be an internationally leading journal that advances education and impacts the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation through the timely delivery of clinically relevant and evidence-based research and review information. Contributions from all parts of the world and from all types of professions in rehabilitation are therefore encouraged.Topics covered include acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders and pain, neurologic conditions involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, rehabilitation of impairments associated with disabilities in adults and children, and neurophysiology and electrodiagnosis. PM&R emphasizes principles of injury, function, and rehabilitation, and is designed to be relevant to practitioners and researchers in a variety of medical and surgical specialties and rehabilitation disciplines including allied health.The content of PM&R includes articles that are contemporary and important to both research and clinical practice. Pain Research & Management will consider for publication original papers on any scientific aspect of pain, namely basic science and animal studies, and clinical topics, including epidemiological, social, psychological and psychiatric aspects, as well as reviews and case reports. Management topics, the economic aspects of pain and historical studies are also welcome. Papers may deal with specific Canadian aspects of pain, but there is no restriction in this respect and international submissions will be readily received. The Journal is pleased to accept articles in either English or French. Manuscripts are received with the understanding that they are submitted solely to Pain Research & Management and that, apart from abstracts, none of the material contained in the manuscript has been published previously or is under consideration for publication elsewhere. The publisher reserves copyright on all published material and material may not be reproduced without the written permission of the publisher. Statements and opinions are the responsibility of the authors. Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology & Biological Psychiatry does not publish work on the actions of biological extracts unless the pharmacological active molecular substrate and/or specific receptor binding properties of the extract compounds are elucidated.

The Neuroimaging section of Psychiatry Research publishes manuscripts on positron emission tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, computerized electroencephalographic topography, regional cerebral blood flow, computed tomography, magnetoencephalography, autoradiography, post-mortem regional analyses, and other imaging techniques. Reports concerning results in psychiatric disorders, dementias, and the effects of behaviorial tasks and pharmacological treatments are featured. Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences is published bimonthly by the Japanese Society of Psychiatry and Neurology as its official journal. The journal publishespapers in all fields of psychiatry and related neurosciences in the following categories: Review Articles, Regular Articles, Short Communications and Letters to the Editor. All manuscripts, except abstracts or proceedings of relevant scientific meetings, will be peer reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers, an Editorial Board Member and the Editor. Manuscripts are accepted for publication according to their quality, originality and significance to our readership on the understanding that they have not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere and have been approved by each author. This interdisciplinary journal publishes papers relating the plasticity and response of the nervous system to accidental or experimental injuries and their interventions, transplantation, neurodegenerative disorders and experimental strategies to improve regeneration or functional recovery and rehabilitation. Experimental and clinical research papers adopting fresh conceptual approaches are encouraged. The overriding criteria for publication are novelty, significant experimental or clinical relevance and interest to a multidisciplinary audience. Experiments on un-anesthetized animals should conform with the standards for the use of laboratory animals as established by the Institute of Laboratory Animal Resources, US National Academy of Sciences. Experiments in which paralytic agents are used must be justified. Patient identity should be concealed. All manuscripts are sent out for blind peer review to editorial board members or outside reviewers.
