Imparting the most current information to physicians caring for patients with intestinal diseases, this journal seeks to identify the basic pathophysiological mechanisms common to different inflammatory intestinal diseases, to compare the environmental conditions involved in their pathogenesis, and to provide important insights into their therapies. Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases thus reduces the gap between clinical and basic sciences as well as between hepatology and inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract such as inflammatory bowel diseases, celiac disease, and irritable bowel syndrome.
Inflammatory Intestinal Diseases also aims to improve the exchange of knowledge between researchers from Eastern and Western countries, which is reflected in the composition of the editorial board. The journal accepts randomized controlled clinical trials, observational studies, and cost-effectiveness analyses as well as commentary type and systematic reviews and consensus statements.

The International Journal of Colorectal Disease publishes novel and state-of-the-art papers dealing with the physiology and pathophysiology of diseases involving the gastrointestinal tract. In addition to original research articles of high scientific quality, the journal also publishes reviews and coverage of controversial issues in rapidly developing areas in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery. The Journal of Digestive Diseases is the official English-language journal of the Chinese Society of Gastroenterology. The journal is published six times per year and includes peer-reviewed original papers, review articles and commentaries concerned with research relating to the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver, biliary tract and pancreas. The journal also occasionally republishes, with permission, peer-reviewed articles of scientific or clinical excellence that have appeared in Chinese-language journals.

The Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery is a scholarly, peer-reviewed journal that updates the surgeon on the latest developments in gastrointestinal surgery. The journal includes original articles on surgery of the digestive tract; gastrointestinal images; 'How I Do It' articles, subject reviews, book reports, editorial columns, the SSAT Presidential Address, articles by a guest orator, symposia, letters, results of conferences and more. This journal provides a forum for original papers and reviews dealing with nutrition in normal and abnormal functions of the alimentary tract and its associated organs, including the salivary glands, pancreas, gallbladder, and liver.
