Journal of Contemporary Religion is an international peer reviewed journal. Its purpose is to both document and evaluate the anthropological, sociological, psychological, and philosophical aspects of emerging manifestations of religiosity in any part of the world8212;whether within innovative movements or mainstream institutions. The term 'religion' in the title of this journal is understood to include contributions on spirituality. Moreover, as the journal title suggests, the focus is on contemporary issues. The official publication of the North American Patristics Society (NAPS), the Journal of Early Christian Studies focuses on the study of Christianity in the context of late ancient societies and religions from c.e. 100-700. Incorporating The Second Century (an earlier publication), the Journal publishes the best of traditional patristics scholarship while showcasing articles that call attention to newer themes and methodologies than those appearing in other patristics journals. An extensive book review section is featured in every issue.

The Journal of Empirical Theology (JET) publishes theological articles and book reviews directly or indirectly based upon empirical research and empirical methodology. It aims to broaden and advance empirical-theological knowledge and thought at an international level in order to contribute to a deeper understanding of religion in modern times in relation to the Christian tradition.

The Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion, the oldest interdisciplinary, inter-religious feminist academic journal in religious studies, is a channel for the publication of feminist scholarship in religion and a forum for discussion and dialogue among women and men of differing feminist perspectives. The journal has two parents: the academy, in which it is situated, and the feminist movement, from which it draws its nourishment and vision.

The Journal of Health Care Chaplaincy publishes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles based on original research, quality assurance/improvement studies, descriptions of programs and interventions, program/intervention evaluations, and literature reviews on topics pertinent to pastoral/spiritual care, clinical pastoral education, chaplaincy, and spirituality in relation to physical and mental health. Examples of topics that might be found include: clinical pastoral education, development of new spiritual care practices, patient assessment, evaluation of chaplain interventions, pastoral/spiritual care outcomes, application of new healthcare regulations to chaplains, standards of practice, spiritual support for persons with different diseases and health problems, reviews of relevant findings from various healthcare and scientific fields. The journal is an excellent resource for chaplains, psychologists; physicians, nurses, and other health-care researchers and clinicians. The Journal of Hindu Studies is committed to a critical approach to Hindu Studies, focusing on themes that address overarching issues within the field, publishing the proceedings of research projects and conferences, and providing a forum for peer-reviewed articles. The journal aims to create a forum for constructive interdisciplinary discourse by linking the wider community of scholars in an exploration of key questions, through the lens of their own research.

The Journal of Islamic Studies is a multi-disciplinary publication dedicated to the scholarly study of all aspects of Islam and of the Islamic world. Particular attention is paid to works dealing with history, geography, political science, economics, anthropology, sociology, law, literature, religion, philosophy, international relations, environmental and developmental issues, as well as ethical questions related to scientific research. The Journal seeks to place Islam and the Islamic tradition as its central focus of academic inquiry and to encourage comprehensive consideration of its many facets; to provide a forum for the study of Islam and Muslim societies in their global context; to encourage interdisciplinary studies of the Islamic world that are crossnational and comparative; to promote the diffusion, exchange and discussion of research findings; and to encourage interaction among academics from various traditions of learning.

The Journal of Jewish Education, the journal of the Network for Research in Jewish Education, is published four times per year.The journal provides a unique interdisciplinary forum for considering the diverse research and scholarly issues in Jewish education including curriculum and instruction, teacher preparation, Jewish identity development, history and philosophy of Jewish education, and the linkage between Jewish and general education. The journal's scope ranges from early childhood through adult education, in any setting in which Jewish education occurs.Contributions to the journal address issues unique to Jewish education, as well as the application of research and thought from general education. Further, a variety of methodological approaches and formats are represented. These include qualitative and quantitative empirical research studies, reflections on Jewish education past and present, and discussion of theoretical aspects of Jewish education. Over the past two decades, the relatively new areas of business ethics, environmental accountability, and corporate responsibility have established their place in business, in organizational theory and in the classroom. At the same time we have evidenced a rising interest in spirituality and in mainstream religion, both of which are making their way into the corporate boardroom in a variety of manifestations - from corporate values through life-work balance to Fung Shui and meditation. Some argue that the age of the 'moral organization' has come, and not too soon either, in the wake of the Enron, Worldcom and Parmalat scandals. The meltdown of financial markets we are currently experiencing is a cause to pause and reflect, as is the surging economies of China and India, representing new thinking on managing and organizing. At the same time, degree programmes combining religious studies and theology with business studies and management have been expanding. In addition, students for priesthood are expected to learn how to manage resources as part of their role. And yet from another end, religious-inspired organizations play a decisive role in our societies, running the spectrum from Mother Theresa's mission of hope and peace, to Bin Laden's 'mission' of destruction. As evidenced in the recent formation and success of the Management, Spirituality and Religion Special Interest Group of the Academy of Management, this field is gathering momentum. Yet, so far, it has no dedicated forum for disseminating work, for the development of theory and best practice, and for the exchange of ideas and debate. The growing number of devoted courses have no specialized journal to whet their students' appetite, and students undertaking research work have as yet no scholarly address for their enquiries. Journal of Management, Spirituality & Religion (JMSR) aims to become the first port of call for academics in this fast expanding scholarly area. JMSR serves three large communities: (1) students, scholars and practitioners of spirituality, (2) management academics and practising managers, and (3) religion scholars and religious leaders. JMSR aims to serve as a meeting forum and help cross-fertilisation in these communities. It wishes to encompass, without prejudging any belief, a multitude of interests and concerns. Our sole criterion is academic rigour and scientific merit. Since its first issue in 2004, JMSR has published some 100 papers and is helping to define this new exciting field. To date we are the only dedicated forum for disseminating work, for the development of theory and best practice, and for the exchange of ideas and debate in Management, Spirituality and Religion. We pledge to continue and be the recognized the leaders in this field of study. The Journal of Media and Religion addresses the question of how religion as a social and cultural phenomenon broadens understanding of mass communication in society. It is a forum for scholars, media professionals, and theologians to discuss media and religion from a social science viewpoint. The journal examines a full range of religious traditions (e.g., Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Eastern religious philosophies, and new/alternative religious movements).Articles reflect institutional, content, audience, cultural, political, and technological perspectives. The Journal of Medieval Religious Cultures (formerly Mystics Quarterly) is currently in its thirty-second year of continuous publication. The journal chiefly publishes peer-reviewed essays on mystical and devotional texts, especially but not exclusively of the Western Middle Ages. In its new form it will seek to expand its areas of focus to include the relationship of medieval religious cultures outside Europe. The journal also publishes book reviews and disseminates information of interest to all those who by profession, vocation, or inclination are interested in mysticism and the Middle Ages.

The Journal of Moral Education (a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee) provides a unique interdisciplinary forum for consideration of all aspects of moral education and development across the lifespan. It contains philosophical analyses, reports of empirical research and evaluation of educational strategies which address a range of value issues and the process of valuing, in theory and practice, and also at the social and individual level. The journal regularly includes country based state-of-the-art papers on moral education and publishes special issues on particular topics.
