The structure of the journal takes into account the broad scope of R & D in sugar crops research and industry. Thus in addition to its full length and short papers on original research, the journal also includes regular features on editorial, review articles, meetings, scientific correspondence, sugar and brewery industry news, current references on the subject from other sources and book reviews.
Sustainable Food Technology is a gold open access journal focused on cutting-edge strategies for food production, that aim to provide quality and safe foods in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way. We welcome novel green strategies applied to both crops and animal foods from every step of the food chain, “from farm to fork”: farming, harvesting, processing, packaging, storage, distribution and control. Circular bioeconomy strategies are particularly welcomed, from those adding value to food by-products to those focused on the appropriate reuse of food waste. Topics of interest include: Novel and sustainable food resources and food ingredients; Food fortification; Sustainable food production systems; Biosensors and smart tools based on artificial intelligence; Omics-based food traceability tools; Biotechnology and bioengineering approaches; Emerging food preservation techniques; Nanotechnology applications; Green active and intelligent packaging and storage systems; Circular economy strategies; Life cycle analysis and sustainability metrics in food production; and Sustainable intensification of food production and processing.

Theoretical and Applied Genetics publishes original research and review articles in all key areas of modern plant genetics, plant genomics and plant biotechnology. All work needs to have a clear genetic component and significant impact on plant breeding. Theoretical considerations are only accepted in combination with new experimental data and/or if they indicate a relevant application in plant genetics or breeding. Emphasizing the practical, the journal focuses on research into leading crop plants and articles presenting innovative approaches. Prospective review authors should contact the Reviews Editor before submitting a manuscript.
Transgenic Research publishes research in transgenic higher organisms including their production, properties resulting from the transgenic state, use as experimental tools, exploitation and application, and environmental impact. The journal bridges the gap between fundamental and applied science in molecular biology and biotechnology.
Coverage includes studies on transgenic animals and plants in which insertion of transgenes including modification of endogenous genes, by any route or vehicle, has been used to confer novel metabolic or developmental properties on the organism. Investigations into the physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, development, genomics, genetics, behaviour and exploitation of such transgenic organisms are also covered. Transgenic Research provides a valuable forum for the cross-fertilization of ideas and techniques in all areas of transgenic technology from fungi to higher eukaryotic organisms.
Weed Biology and Management is an international journal, published four times per year. The journal accepts contributions in the form of original research and review articles in all aspects of weed science. Contributions from weed scientists in the Asia-Pacific region are particularly welcomed. The content of the contributions may relate to weed taxonomy, ecology and physiology, weed management and control methodologies, herbicide behaviors in plants, soils and environment, utilization of weeds and other aspects of weed science. All contributions must be of sufficient quality to extend our knowledge in weed science.
Weed Research is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes topical and innovative papers on weed science, in the English language. It is the official journal of the European Weed Research Society. Papers are taken on all aspects of weeds, defined as plants that impact adversely on economic, aesthetic or environmental aspects of any system. Topics include, amongst others, weed biology and control, herbicides, invasive plant species in all environments, population and spatial biology, modelling, genetics, biodiversity and parasitic plants. The journal welcomes submissions on work carried out in any part of the world. In addition to research papers, the journal also seeks review articles and shorter insights papers covering personal views, new methods and breaking news in weed science. The criteria Editors use for accepting manuscripts for publication are originality, relevance, scientific rigour and the clarity of presentation. The journal accepts approximately 40% of submitted manuscripts and the time taken from submission to publication is 11.5 months.
