Preventive Veterinary Medicine is one of the leading international resources for scientific reports on animal health programs and preventive veterinary medicine. The journal follows the guidelines for standardizing and strengthening the reporting of biomedical research which are available from the CONSORT, MOOSE, PRISMA, REFLECT, STARD, and STROBE statements. The journal focuses on:Epidemiology of health events relevant to domestic and wild animals;Economic impacts of epidemic and endemic animal and zoonotic diseases;Latest methods and approaches in veterinary epidemiology;Disease and infection control or eradication measures; The "One Health" concept and the relationships between veterinary medicine, human health, animal-production systems, and the environment;Development of new techniques in surveillance systems and diagnosis;Evaluation and control of diseases in animal populations. The journal encourages the submission of clinical and field-trial studies, particularly those related to new vaccines and other preventive measures. These studies, however, should follow the Consort Statement (http://www.consort-statement.org) or Reflect Statement (http://reflect-statement.org).Prevalence studies may be considered for publication, but only if the results are likely to be of international interest (i.e. it must be possible to generalize the findings using scientifically based approaches). For these studies, key considerations in the review process will include (but are not limited to): consideration of both animal-level and herd-level demographics in the sampling design; the study population's relevance to the authors' described target population; the potential for confounding; and how well the sample-size justification assures high precision. The sensitivity and specificity of non-perfect tests used must be declared; the true rather than the apparent prevalence must be presented.Submissions of reviews of relevant topics are also encouraged, but these should follow the systematic-review process addressed by the guidelines in the following two websites: http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/reprint/283/15/2008; http://prisma-statement.org.Preventive Veterinary Medicine does not publish studies on experimental development of diagnostic assays without the appropriate field evaluation. Guidelines for the evaluation of diagnostic assays are followed in the review process (http://www.stard-statement.org)).Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Primates is an international journal of primatology whose aim is to provide a forum for the elucidation of all aspects of primates. It publishes original papers that contribute to the development of the scientific study of primates, and its scope embraces work in fields of biological investigation such as morphology, physiology, genetics, psychology, behavior, ecology, sociology, systematics, evolution, and medicine. Original Articles as well as Review Articles, News and Perspectives, and Book Reviews are included.
The Editor-in-Chief is Juichi Yamagiwa, Kyoto University.
The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, India, Section B: Biological Sciences, is one of the oldest journals of India, launched in the year 1930, by the National Academy of Sciences, India (the Oldest Science Academy of India). The research/review papers of different fields of science, e.g. Agriculture Sciences (Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Forestry, Agric. Toxicology, Soil Science, Plant Protection, Post Harvest Technology, and Agricultural Engineering), Animal Sciences (Structural, Developmental, Functional, Genetical, Ecological, Behavioural, Taxonomical and Evolutionary Aspects), Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biotechnology (including Molecular and Cell Biology, Structural and Functional Studies, Microbiology and Immunology), Medical & Forensic Sciences (Basic and Clinical Medical Sciences, Pharmacology, Anthropology, Psychology and Forensic Sciences, Human genetics, Reproduction Biology, Neurosciences and Molecular Medicine) and Plant Sciences (Structural, Developmental, Functional
The Royal Society's flagship biological research journal, dedicated to the fast publication and worldwide dissemination of high-quality research
Progress in Oceanography publishes the longer, more comprehensive papers that most oceanographers feel are necessary, on occasion, to do justice to their work. Contributions are generally either a review of an aspect of oceanography or a treatise on an expanding oceanographic subject. The articles cover the entire spectrum of disciplines within the science of oceanography. Occasionally volumes are devoted to collections of papers and conference proceedings of exceptional interest. Essential reading for all oceanographers.
Authors of review articles are offered an amount of USD 200 plus USD 5 per printed page upon publication of their article inProgress in Oceanography.

Protoplasma specializes in the area between structural and molecular analysis of biological systems from gene expression to the sub- and supracellular levels. The journal offers articles on structural and macromolecular cell biology of protists, fungi, plants, and animals, as well as prokaryotes. Coverage includes biogenesis, dynamics, and energetics of membrane compartments; targeting and trafficking of macromolecules; cellular dynamics, intracellular transport, and whole-cell locomotion; structure, dynamics, and molecular components of the cytoskeleton; signaling and regulatory cascades; the cell cycle and cell-to-cell communication. Besides research, rapid communications, and comprehensive review articles, Protoplasma publishes reviews of discoveries, and opportunities at the cutting edge of research under the headings New Ideas in Cell Biology.
Psyche is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of basic (as opposed to applied) entomology. The journal is sponsored by the Cambridge Entomological Club which founded the journal in 1874.
This new journal will publish research papers from around the globe with the major focus on the research and developments of new analytical tools - methods and equipment - and the improvement of existing tools for assuring the quality and safety of cereals, crops and derived foods and feeds, refined products and ingredients; to ensure traceability and authenticity; to contribute to food security; and to describe the technologies associated with harvesting, storing, processing and manufacturing of crops and foods, feeds, ingredients and other refined products. The scope of publications will also cover other disciplines related to food and feed quality and safety, such as legal requirements, regulations, socio-economic impact, globalisation and trade, food security, international organisations and agreements. The aims of the journal are:
Quaternary Science Reviews caters for all aspects of Quaternary science, and includes, for example, geology, geomorphology, geography, archaeology, soil science, palaeobotany, palaeontology, palaeoclimatology and the full range of applicable dating methods. The dividing line between what constitutes the review paper and one which contains new original data is not easy to establish, so QSR also publishes papers with new data especially if these perform a review function. All the Quaternary sciences are changing rapidly and subject to re-evaluation as the pace of discovery quickens; thus the eclectic and comprehensive role of Quaternary Science Reviews keeps readers abreast of the wider issues relating to new developments in the field. Quaternary Science Reviews includes Special Issues on topical subjects arising from recent scientific meetings, in response to significant chances in Quaternary subject matter, or to acknowledge the achievements of some outstanding Quaternary Scientist.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
