Acoustical Physics (Akusticheskii zhurnal), founded in 1955, is the only Russian academic journal in the field of acoustics. The journal publishes scientific reviews, original papers, short communications, letters to the editor, and current events. It covers theoretical and experimental aspects of basic and applied acoustics. This journal presents results of research conducted at the institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and at universities and research establishments in Russia and abroad.

Astronomy Reports (Astronomicheskii Zhurnal), founded in 1924, is the most prominent astronomy journal in the former Soviet Union. It is also widely known and cited abroad. The journal publishes original papers on astronomical topics, including theoretical and observational astrophysics, physics of the Sun, planetary astrophysics, radioastronomy, stellar astronomy, celestial mechanics, and astronomy methods and instrumentation. Doklady Biological Sciences is a journal containing English translations of current Russian research in molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology, immunology, physiology, general biology and botanics, published in the corresponding sections of the Doklady Akademii Nauk (Proceedings of the Russian Academy of Sciences). The Proceedings appear 36 times a year, articles from the selected biological sections are collected, translated, and published in 6 issues a year. Doklady Earth Sciences is a journal of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It contains English translations of papers published in Doklady Akademii Nauk (Proceedings of the Russian Academy of Sciences), which was founded in 1933 and is published 36 times a year. The journal Geography and Natural Resources publishes information on research results in the field of geographical studies of nature, the economy, and the population. It provides ample coverage of the geographical aspects relating to solving major economic problems, with special emphasis on regional nature management and environmental protection, geographical forecasting, integral regional research developments, a modelling of natural processes, and on the advancement of mapping techniques. Glass Physics and Chemistry (Fizika i Khimiya Stekla) is published bimonthly by the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Silicate Chemistry. Established in 1975, this journal presents results of structural, physical, and chemical properties in inorganic materials (glasses, ceramics, nanoparticles, nanocomposites, high temperature oxides and coatings) and phase equilibrium in inorganic system by Russian and foreign authors. Now published concurrently in English translation, the journal widens its availability to a worldwide community of glass scientists.

Gravitation and Cosmology is a peer-reviewed periodical, dealing with the full range of topics of gravitational physics and relativistic cosmology and published under the auspices of the Russian Gravitation Society and Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. The journal publishes research papers, review articles and brief communications on the following fields: theoretical (classical and quantum) gravitation; relativistic astrophysics and cosmology, exact solutions and modern mathematical methods in gravitation and cosmology, including Lie groups, geometry and topology; unification theories including gravitation; fundamental physical constants and their possible variations; fundamental gravity experiments on Earth and in space; related topics. Founded in 1967, High Energy Chemistry (Khimiya Vysokikh Energii) publishes original papers on radiation chemistry, photochemistry, plasma chemistry, laser chemistry, and other aspects of high energy chemistry. It is the only scientific journal of its kind. High Temperature (Teplofizika Vysokikh Temperatur), founded in 1963, is a prominent Russian physical engineering journal. Plasma Physics Reports (Fizika Plasmy) was founded in 1975 in order to publish papers on a comparatively young and extremely fruitful branch of modern science - plasma physics. The journal covers the following topics: high-temperature plasma physics related to the problem of controlled nuclear fusion based on magnetic and inertial confinement; physics of cosmic plasma, including magnetosphere plasma, sun and stellar plasma, etc.; gas discharge plasma and plasma generated by laser and particle beams. Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics is a cover-to-cover translation of the Trudy Matematicheskogo Instituta imeni V.A. Steklova of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Each issue ordinarily contains either one book-length article or a collection of articles pertaining to the same topic.
