The journal Infection is a peer-reviewed forum for the presentation and discussion of clinically relevant information on infectious diseases for readers and contributors from all over the world. Articles deal with etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in outpatient and inpatient setting. Public health issues of local, regional and international importance related to infectious diseases are covered along with progress and problems in hospital epidemiology. The main contents include original articles describing results of research projects; brief reports on new observations that enhance the knowledge of clinicians; and state-of-the-art reviews on topics relevant to physicians diagnosing or treating infectious diseases. Case reports describing new infectious etiologies or clinical manifestations are also offered. Infection adheres to a high standard of quality of all published material.

The International Journal of Fluid Power was established in 2000 as the first English language scientific journal fully dedicated to fluid power technology. It provides essential reading for engineers and academics interested in advances in modern fluid power (FP) technology. Fluid power refers to the discipline that involves the use of fluids to perform mechanical actuations. It encompasses hydraulic control systems and pneumatic systems. It is a well-established and independent discipline which has a defined research area and scholarly activities since at least seven decades. The educational and research activities related to the fluid power discipline serve a large and widespread industry reaching from agriculture, construction, transportation, aerospace, marine, manufacturing and entertainment industries.

The journal promotes and emphasizes fluid power technology as an independent and distinct field of engineering. In addition to promoting high-quality articles on research and development, the journals also promotes international fluid power conferences, workshops, and exhibitions taking place around the world sponsored by the Global Fluid Power Society (GFPS). All the published papers are peer reviewed by at least two leading experts of the fluid power community to ensure both technical quality and integrity.

The International Journal of Sports Medicine (IJSM) provides a forum for the publication of papers dealing with both basic and applied information that advance the field of sports medicine and exercise science, and offer a better understanding of biomedicine.

Invertebrate Neuroscience publishes original articles, reviews and technical reports describing recent advances in the field of invertebrate neuroscience. The journal reports on research that exploits the simplicity and experimental tractability of the invertebrate preparations to underpin fundamental advances in neuroscience. Articles published in Invertebrate Neurosciences serve to highlight properties of signalling in the invertebrate nervous system that may be exploited in the field of antiparisitics, molluscicides and insecticides. Aspects of particular interest include: functional analysis of the invertebrate nervous system; molecular neuropharmacology and toxicology; neurogenetics and genomics; functional anatomy; neurodevelopment; neuronal networks; and molecular and cellular mechanisms of behaviour and behavioural plasticity.

The effects of stress on crop production of agricultural cultivated plants will grow to paramount importance in the 21st century, and the Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science aims to make a contribution to understanding these challenges. In this context, stress refers to extreme conditions under which crops and forages grow. The journal publishes original papers, short communications, reviews, and book reviews on the general and special science of abiotic plant stress. Specific topics addressed include: Drought, including water-use efficiency, Chemical Constraints, such as salinity and acid soils, Extreme temperatures as heat, cold and chilling stress limit the cultivation of crops, Flooding and oxidative stress, mineral deficiency and toxicity stress and means of restricting them. The Journal will give preference to scientific articles on plant stress highlighting these subsections. Particular regard is given to application-oriented basic research and applied research. The Journal of Ethology features reviews and original papers relating to all aspects of animal behavior, including traditional ethology. The journal presents papers on field, laboratory, and theoretical studies. In contrast to ethological journals that prefer studies testing explicit hypotheses, the Journal of Ethology publishes both in observational studies and in experimental studies. The journal is published with the Japan Ethological Society, which was formed in 1982 with the objectives of advancing and disseminating knowledge of the principles and applications of ethology, and fostering the exchange of scientific information not only among Japanese but also worldwide ethologists.
